This is something I've always wondered about:
If the reasoning for Creationism is that the Universe is too complex (or whatever term you prefer) to exist by itself, and requires a godlike being to either have created it or at least to be holding it together and maintaining it, how is it that such a being does not require the same kind of explanation for its existence?
Surely a god capable of creating or maintaining a universe would be more complex than said universe, like how a watchmaker is necessarily more complex than a watch.
